When you're running a business, it's hard to do everything yourself. That's where Virtual Assistants (VAs) come in. They can handle routine tasks and free up your time.

But finding the right VA can be tough. With numerous freelancers and platforms to choose from, businesses often struggle to find a good match— work styles and skills may not align, and long-term commitments can be hard to come by. This makes it essential to have a strategic approach to finding a VA who perfectly complements your business needs.

That’s where specialized VA services come in.

Why turn to specialized VA services?

There are many advantages of hiring a VA from a specialized VA-providing platform:

  • Their talent pool is pre-vetted, so you can be assured of their service quality
  • They mostly offer managed VA services that involve VA onboarding and management
  • They audit VA’s performance from time to time to ensure you get the best quality of work
  • They offer comprehensive delegation services that you can tailor according to your needs
  • They provide round-the-clock customer support to ensure incessant coordination

What is eVirtualAssistants?

eVirtualAssistants is an agency that connects businesses with the top virtual assistant talent in the Philippines. It hosts a vast pool of over 200,000 VAs who possess a range of skills across different business domains like finance, sales, marketing, etc.

Once you sign up on the platform, you just need to post your job details and screen interested candidates to pick the most suitable one for your business. Once onboarded, eVirtualAssistants looks after aspects like compliance, payroll, etc. Additionally, the agency also offers full-fledged VA recruitment services, which we shall discuss later in the blog.

Established in 2019, eVirtualAssistants has its headquarters in New Mexico, USA.

What does eVirtualAssistants offer?

According to eVirtualAssistants, its VAs are adept in over 1,500 skills. This makes the platform’s service range comprehensive and diverse. To name a few:

  • Content Writing
  • Graphic Designing
  • Bookkeeping
  • Customer Support
  • Live Chat Assistance
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Admin Support
  • IT & Networking
  • Translation
  • Legal
  • Data Science & Analytics

What are the pricing plans that eVirtualAssistants offers?

eVirtualAssistants offers two types of pricing plans—individual and agency.

  1. Individual pricing plans: Under the following plans, eVirtualAssistants won’t manage VA hiring for you. You will have to do that on your own.
  • Free Forever
  • Essential: $67/month
  • Elite: $97/month

  1. Agency pricing plans: Under the following plans, eVirtualAssistants will oversee all aspects of VA hiring for you. Additionally, you will get a dedicated recruitment team for continuous support.
  • Marketplace: $67/month
  • HeadHunters: $199 (one-time)
  • HR Premium: starting at $4/hour

Note that the prices mentioned above don’t include VA’s service fee—they are eVirtualAssistants’ subscription charges (except the HR Premium plan). However, you can choose to discontinue the subscription once you feel your hiring need is fulfilled.

As for the VA’s service fee, rates typically range between $4/hour-$12/hour or more, based on the service type and the VA’s individual experience. Also, you can hire both full-time and part-time VAs.

Where are eVirtualAssistants VAs from?

eVirtualAssistants’ VAs are based in the Philippines. They are skilled, experienced, and fluent in English.

How credible is the company?

As a platform, eVirtualAssistants does not seem to be very credible. It has an average rating of 3.2/5 on Trustpilot

How do I hire a VA with eVirtualAssistants?

The process of hiring a VA through eVirtualAssistants looks something like this:

  1. You create an account on the platform
  2. You post your job details
  3. You go through candidate applications, review their profiles, and pick out the most suitable ones based on your needs, budget, etc
  4. Once you have your top list of applicants, you interview them to better understand their skills, present your offer, etc
  5. Finally, if the VA accepts your proposal, you can onboard them

Alternatively, eVirtualAssistants also offers VA recruiting services. Here’s the process for availing the same:

  1. Once you fill out the Contact Us form, eVirtualAssistants’ sales team will reach out to you to understand your needs
  2. Next, they will pick out the top three candidates for you from their pool of professionals
  3. They will screen and interview each candidate before introducing them to you
  4. Once done, you will receive the prospective candidates’ personal information, resume, etc., and choose the one you deem the best fit for your job
  5. After this, eVirtualAssistants will handle all onboarding formalities

What are some pros and cons of eVirtualAssistants?

Pros:

  1. eVirtualAssistants’ VA pool is vast: eVirtualAssistants has over 2 million VAs on its platform. It also claims to receive VA applications in large volumes. So, you can pick and choose a professional precisely tailored to your needs.
  2. Its service range is wide: eVirtualAssistants pools VAs with skills in administrative and niche-specific tasks. There’s hardly any service you cannot delegate to its VAs.
  3. Its VA rates are affordable: eVirtualAssistants’ individual VA rates are more affordable than most other platforms. So, it’s ideal, even for businesses with a tight budget.

Cons:

  1. eVirtualAssistant’s hiring process is lengthy: Whether you hire a VA on your own or let the platform assist in recruitment, the minimum number of days it takes to onboard a VA with them is 10 days. This is quite long-drawn.
  2. The platform’s credibility is poor: eVirtualAssistants has a low credibility on Trustpilot. So, you cannot fully rely on its service quality.
  3. The platform’s pricing is complicated: eVirtualAssistants’ pricing can come off as difficult to understand. One may not be able to differentiate between the platform’s individual and agency plans.
  4. The platform doesn’t manage the VA: eVirtualAssistants doesn’t manage your experience with the hired VA, which poses a grave issue if you face challenges with the VA.
  5. You might face time zone issues: Since all of the VAs are based in the Philippines, you may face time zone issues collaborating with them.

Our review—what do we think of eVirtualAssistants?

eVirtualAssistants is a Philippines-based VA platform that facilitates outsourcing for businesses across the globe. You can use it to delegate both—those basic, everyday back-office duties to the more nuanced ones like digital marketing and accounting.

However, the platform’s cons outweigh its pros. Issues with credibility, collaboration, and hiring indicate eVirtualAssistants isn’t the best choice for appointing a VA. So, look for a solid alternative.
